Little League Champs

Champions. The Little League team sponsored by UE Local 684 took first place this year in the North East, Pa. league.
Three years ago, employees of The Electric Materials Co. (TEMCO) asked the company to sponsor a team. The company refused. Organized as a
UE local, TEMCO workers took on the responsibility themselves. Union members raise funds to meet the $225 annual cost of sponsorship by
selling pretzel sandwiches. The local union treated the proud and happy members of the Local 684 team to ice cream sundaes following the
winning game.
