Two days of stewards training took place at the Local 1111
hall in Milwaukee in April. On April 26, the entire Local 1111 stewards body
and officers attended classes presented by Genl. Pres. John Hovis and Intl.
Rep. David Cohen. The following day, some two dozen stewards from eight other
locals around Wisconsin attended a training. Sessions covered stewards
rights, member-to-member harassment, protecting and bargaining health
insurance and mobilizing the membership.
