Local 404, United Stamping
Reach One-Year Contract
PATERSON, N.J.
Local 404 and the United Tool and Stamping Co. have settled the terms of a one-year contract. Union members rejected
company proposals that would have instituted a wage freeze and forced workers to pay more for an inferior health insurance plan.
United Tool workers will receive a 3 percent, across-the-board wage increase, an extra sick day, and an increase in the
companys annual 401(k) contribution. This contract restores an additional, 10-minute afternoon break lost many years ago. And the
contract continues the same insurance, with workers responsible for 25 percent of the premium as previously.
The UE negotiating committee consisted of Local 404 Pres. Joe Miglino, Vice Pres. Charles Castelluzzo Philip
Giamanco and Kevin Engmark.
