Contract with Thiele
Despite Hard Times
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.
With their employer genuinely experiencing hard times, the members of
amalgamated UE Local 1139 employed by Thiele Engineering agreed to modifications in
production practices and the pension plan in recent negotiations. However, Thiele
continues to pay the full cost of the insurance premium. Workers will gain hourly wage
increases of 2.5 percent in each of the three years covered by the contract.
The union negotiating committee consisted of Randy Geisler, chief
steward, and committee persons Steve Pipp and Landy Geisler and Steve
Larsen, committee person for the night shift. They were assisted by UE Field Org.
